Some background to our shows
Jonah and I had our first show together, five years ago, I had just started painting full time and Johah was looking to show larger works and had booked the City Hall Gallery but wasn't sure whether he would have enough work to fill it.
We liked each others work and pooling our efforts seemed like a good way to go and Oil & Water was the result. Although to some the idea of hanging Jonah's vibrant oils and my more subdued watercolours together seemed less than ideal, the results were spectacular. Show of the year

Two years later we repeated the exercise with the difference being that Jonah now had the very large pieces that he wanted to show. again I did watercolours . The response was once again very positive. Oil and water again
Many people had asked us whether we had been together when we painted, and although we did paint on location together we had not showed the results in the shows.
We thought it would be interesting to do a show where all the work was done with both of us painting the same scene, identifiable by its GPS coordinates and eventually showed 160 pieces grouped by location at the Dockyard Art Centre. For this show Jonah showed oils and I showed acrylics oils and watercolours. I worked in opaque media when the weather simply wasn't suitable for painting in watercolour.
